Through Sutradhar, the cultural capital of the country is sure to experience an unprecedented melange of stories old and new, personal and traditional. Kirtan is narrating a story with music and dance. Kathak is a combination of pure dance (Nrutta) and storytelling (Abhinay). The 'Kathaa' (story) aspect of Kirtan gave rise to Kathak. Kirtan Kathak is a unique blend of two beautiful art forms with the same roots.
