Khadki Cantonment Board vice-president Anand held, out on bail

The Cantonment police on Monday arrested Manish Anand, vice-president of Khadki Cantonment Board, for allegedly threatening vehicle entry tax contractor Vivek Yadav on February 5.

PUNE: The Cantonment police on Monday arrested ManishAnand, vice-president of Khadki Cantonment Board (KCB), for allegedly threatening vehicle entry tax contractor VivekYadav on February 5.
Anand was produced before the court on Monday and released on the bail. Yadav's brother Chetan Yadav had lodged a complaint with the Cantonment police station against Anand and two of his accomplices.

They were booked under sections 452 (house-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint) of the Indian Penal Code.
Seven days after the incident, on February 13, Vivek Yadav and two of his employees were attacked in front of the KCB office gate when they went there to purchase tender forms to bid for a vehicle entry tax contract. Anand was one of the suspects in the attack. The Pune crime branch arrested 11 people, but Anand was untraceable, till now. Police have submitted the chargesheet.
