PUNE: Hotel owners have indicated that they would cancel all Christmas and New Year’s eve parties this year if the district administration failed to revoke its ‘entry fee’ rule. Joint secretary of the hotel owners’ association, Ravi Shetty, told TNN on Saturday that he would strongly advocate cancellation of parties if the administration remained adamant on making entry fee compulsory.
The district administration has made it mandatory for hotel owners to charge Rs 250 from every customer attending New Year or Christmas parties.
