Government trying to mitigate possible recession impact: Union MSME minister Narayan Rane

The minister from Maharashtra, Narayan Rane, said that there is a possibility of a recession in India after June. They are working to lessen the effects of this possible recession on the common people. The minister also dismissed suggestions that the G20 logo, which prominently features a lotus, was inspired by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He said that the lotus on the logo represents sustainable development for all. Later, he spoke to the delegates, including bureaucrats and diplomats from the G20 member countries and blocs, at a closed-door inauguration urging them to discuss solutions on urban infrastructure issues as well as building climate resilient infrastructure and sustainable development.

Rane also dismissed suggestions that India’s G20 presidency logo, which prominently features a lotus, was inspired by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s election and party symbol. He said the lotus on the G20 logo represents sustainable development for all.
The minister also weighed in on the months-long debate on prominent investments “leaving” Maharashtra, adding that there was a history of similar projects “coming back” to the state.
Earlier, he spoke to the delegates, including bureaucrats and diplomats from the G20 member countries and blocs at a closed-door inauguration, urging them to discuss solutions on urban infrastructure issues, as well as building climate resilient infrastructure and sustainable development, according to a release by organizers.
