Girl recalls molestation during school counselling

Pune: Two youngsters, aged 18 and 16 years, were booked on Thursday after a 15-year-old girl recalled during a school counselling session how the duo had molested and sexually harassed her at her home in November last year.
The victim’s mother, who lodged a police complaint in this connection, said her daughter was alone at home when an 18-year-old boy working with a milkman and his minor aide visited her house for drinking water.
A police officer with the Kondhwa police said, “The elder boy molested and sexually harassed the girl, while his friend clicked their photographs and uploaded them on a social networking site.”
On April 5, the victim’s mother visited the school after receiving a phone call from her daughter’s class teacher. The teacher told her that they had earlier taken action against a physical instructor for misbehaving with the girls. The teacher requested that the girl be referred for a counselling session too.
On Thursday, the girl told the counsellor about the acts committed by the two boys. Senior inspector Santosh Sonwane said,“A police team visited the residence of the two boys, but they were not found. We will trace them.”
