Gear up for an Urdu drama, Qubool Hai

Get set for a theatrical evening as Qubool hai a solo performance by Paarul Deshpande comes to Pune. The play is based on Ismat Chughtai’s short story Bhabhi. The play depicts the patriarchal system and how it shapes a woman's mind-set into putting her identity aside and accepting everything that comes her way.
The story revolves around a young girl recalls some incidents from her bhabhi’s life which makes her wonder and contemplate over some sensitive issues that women in general face.
Paarul Deshpande has acted in plays like Pakshiteerth, Mulgi Jhali Ho, Agantuk and Pahile Plan. She was awarded the Best Actor prize for her role in the one act play ‘Talyat Malyat’ in 11 theatre competitions since August 2016.
The play is directed by Rupali Bhave.
