PUNE: The Bharati Vidyapeeth police on Saturday booked Bala Chaudhary, a member of the Appa Londhe gang and nine others, a day after 42-year-old Parashuram Pandurang Jadhav alias Parshya was shot by unidentified men near a hill in Nimbalkarwadi near Gujarwadi in Katraj ghat section.
Jadhav was a criminal on police records.
Macchindra Chavan, senior inspector of the Bharatiya Vidyapeeth police station told TOI over telephone that Chaudhary and others were booked in the murder case as their names were mentioned in the first information report filed by Jadhav's relative Sanjay More (43) from Dhankawdi.

Police have launched a massive search to trace Chaudhary and his accomplices.
"We suspect that Jadhav was shot dead due to previous enmity. We are also probing into his financial transactions to ascertain the real motive behind the murder," he added.
Police said that unidentified men had called Jadhav at Nimbalkarwadi on the pretext of seeing a plot. Jadhav had reached the spot in a car along with his driver Laxman Reddy and a friend on Friday at around 6pm.
