. As part of his third death anniversary celebrations, a three-day programme has been lined up by the institute, starting today.

Among other attractions, including a talk by veteran filmmaker Govind Nihalani and screenings of some of Murthy’s films, another highlight of the programme is a performance by actor Tom Alter. Alter will perform to a song from 'Pyaasa'.

The festival, which will conclude with the screening of Abrar Alvi’s 'Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam', will also have filmmaker Shyam Benegal sharing his experience of working with Murthy on the TV series 'Bharat Ek Khoj' based on Jawaharlal Nehru’s The Discovery of India.
