PUNE: Former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Latur Lok Sabha constituency, Sunil Gaikwad, has been conferred with the International Social Impact Leader Award 2024 by the London Organization of Skill Development (LOSD). The award was presented during the Global Research Conference held at Harvard University, Boston, USA recently. A statement issued by Gaikwad stated that he was the only Indian recipient among leaders from 24 countries recognised for their contributions across various fields.

The award was handed over by dignitaries including the Mayors of Boston and UK, representatives of King Charles III, and Dr. Parin Somani, CEO and Director of LOSD and a professor at Oxford University. The ceremony was attended by global representatives, entrepreneurs, and authors, added the statement.

Gaikwad’s significant contributions in the social and political domains earned him this honor. "During my tenure as an MP, I have spearheaded numerous developmental projects in the Latur constituency," said Gaikwad in the statement.

Gaikwad facilitated the creation of a 200-bed super specialty government hospital, set up a passport office, and initiated a NEET exam center for students.

Gaikwad has previously been recognised with numerous national and international accolades, including the Sansad Ratna Award, for his tireless work in public service and development.
