PUNE: The Yerawada police on Thursday busted a flesh racket being run from a bungalow on Pune-Ahmednagar road and arrested two women, including one from Kazakhstan, and their agent.
The agent, Vishal Ajit Patil (28), is a resident of Thergaon. The Kazakhstani woman had come to India on a tourist visa in February and was overstaying, as her visa term had lapsed on May 13.
Inspector Shivaji Shinde of Yerawada police said, "after receiving a tip-off, police raided the bungalow at a plush society on early Thursday morning and arrested the women and the agent," Shinde said.
Shinde said Patil was running the flesh racket for the past few months. He had taken the bungalow on rent.
The Kazakhstani woman claimed her original passport and visa were in Delhi. "We have recovered a copy of the visa from her. We are also trying to find out how she came in contact with Patil," Shinde said.
Police also suspect that another foreigner is involved in Patil's racket.
All the three arrested have been remanded in police custody till June 30.
