Two dead after truck hits bike in Talegaon

Pune: Two men were killed after their motorcycle was hit by an unknown truck along the Chakan-Talegaon Road on Sunday afternoon. The Talegaon MIDC police identified the deceased as Ganesh Pardeshi (27) and Rinku Singh (20). They hailed from Jalgaon district and Uttar Pradesh respectively, and were residing at Mhalunge. Sub-inspector Prashant Relekar of the Talegaon MIDC said the accident happened around 1.45pm on Sunday, when Pardeshi and Singh were travelling towards Talegaon Dabhade from Mhalugne on a motorcycle. When they reached Sudwadi village, a truck, in an attempt to overtake, dashed their motorcycle. “Pardeshi lost control and both of them fell off the motorcycle,” Relekar said.He said both of them came under the rear wheels of the truck and were killed on the spot. “The locals took them to a hospital at Talegaon Dabhade, where they were pronounced dead,” Relakar said.
