Looking forward to a chilled out Sunday? Head to

High Spirits

for the Cookout with two incredible bands that are breaking bad into the music scene! Drawing from a diverse palette of genres like DnB, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Electronica, Classical & Funk, Stitch In Nine showcases their amalgamated soundscapes! The next band, Smalltalk, created wonders at Bandcubator 2017 with their unique hook-driven Neo-Soul magic and went on ahead to win it.

Stitch In Nine is a project initiated by Goa-born, Mumbai-based multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger and producer,

Jose Neil Gomes

. The music that has been brewing for over six years, draws inspiration from a varied pallette of sounds, intricate yet simple genres of music like Drum n Bass, Funk, Rock, Pop, Jazz, Soul, Classical and Electronica. All these influences come together to make music that is rhythmically dense, harmonically rich, progressive and eclectic, by nature. The music finds its outlet in the form of collaborators, who bring their own diverse knowledge and experience into the making of Stitch in nine's diverse soundscapes. Jose is accompanied by Bassist

Nathan Thomas

& ex-TSM faculty member

Dhir Mody

.

On the other hand, Smalltalk is a neo-soul quartet based in Mumbai. The band focuses on writing melody enriched hook-driven songs while drawing influence from the likes of Vanilla, D'Angelo, Hiatus Kaiyote, Kendrick Lamar, Erykah Badu. After debuting in early 2016 at blueFROG Mumbai, smalltalk moved on to play live shows at The G5A Foundation for Contemporary Arts, Tuning Fork Studio, 3 Wise Monkeys, Hive, Anti Social and SOFAR’s Bombay edition.

This will be one afternoon gig you wouldn't want to miss. It will take place between 1.30 and 4.30 pm.
