PUNE: The cyber space is all set to host a literary meet, an e-sahitya sammelan, to be inaugurated by noted playwright Ratnakar Matkari.
The three-day fest will witness discussions and interaction with various renowned writers. Thoughts expressed by these writers through articles will be uploaded to the site www.uniquefeatures.in. The site will also have interviews of writers and renewed personalities.

Other powerful people, including politicians, industrialists and film personalities are getting prestigious positions in the meet," Matkari said.
Matkari opposed the school of thoughts that authors should take stand in every social issue. He said if the concerned authorities and citizens do their work, most social issues can be sorted out easily.
Organisers of the festival have termed the event first-of-its-kind in the history of Marathi literature. "There is a need to expand the horizons for literature. Internet has the power to do so. This is the idea behind organising this meet," Anand Avadhani, director, unique features, the site which will host the meet, said.
Echoing the same sentiments, Sanjay Joshi, writer, also instrumental in carrying out this meet, stated that the meet intends to attract youngsters. "Marathi literature can sustain for a longer period if youngsters start taking interest in it," Joshi said, adding that the online literary meet will attract this crowd which is becoming more and more internet-friendly.
