Cops seize ganja trees worth ₹2L

Pune: The anti-narcotics cell of the Pimpri Chinchwad crime branch arrested a carpenter for growing two ganja trees, totally weighing 12kg and valued at Rs 1.96 lakh, in the backyard of his house.
The carpenter, Dhanesh Sharma (34), hails from Gopalganj district in Bihar. The police team, led by senior inspector Santosh Patil arrested him on a tip-off. Patil said, “Police constables Pradi Shelar and Mitesh Yadav received a tip-off that Sharma was planning to sell two ganja trees that he cultivated. We raided the spot in Pimple Nilakh on Wednesday and found the trees in his backyard.”
