Pune: The civic body’s health department has filed an FIR against an Ayurveda practitioner with the Chatushrungi police station on Thursday.
The accused has been charged with practicing without a valid medical degree.
“We received a complaint that an Ayurveda practitioner is posing as doctor and dispensing medicines to gullible patients. When we checked the validity of his degree with the Maharashtra Council of Indian Medicine, we found that he was a bogus doctor,” said Vaishali Jadhav, assistant medical officer of health at Pune Municipal Corporation.
