Cops probe accident angle in hsg soc fire

Pune: Prima facie investigations in the Wakad housing society fire revealed that it could have happened due to some technical problems in one of the parked vehicles.
A fire, which stared early Thursday morning in a housing society near Bhumkar Chowk, gutted seven vehicles including five two-wheelers, a car and an autorickshaw parked there.
Senior inspector Vivek Mugalikar of the Hinjewadi police told TOI that the police checked the CCTV footage in the complex.“No unknown person was seen entering the society premises,” Mugalikar said.
The police are also investigating the angle that a parked vehicle may have had some technical issue, which could have caused the fire. “We are investigating the case from all angles,” Mugalikar added. TNN
