Cops cuff four, foil robbery plan
Pune: Four men planning to rob vehicles at Katraj Ghat section were arrested on Wednesday.
A team led by sub-inspector Subrao Kadam of the Bharati Vidyapeeth police zeroed in on the suspects — Karan Shinde (23), Mitesh Shinde (29) and Amit Bhorde (21) from Katraj, and Vishal Borane (25) of Bhor. Sharp weapons, chilli powder and two motorcycles — collectively worth Rs55,700 — were recovered from them.
“We received a tip-off, based on which we laid a trap and took the gang into custody,” said Kadam.
