PUNE: The College of Engineering, Pune (CoEP) will host MindSpark’19, its national-level technical festival, between September 27 and 29.

The 13th edition of the annual festival will revisit the technical evolution in the entire country over the past few decades with the theme “A Techno-Panorama”, a statement issued by the event’s organizers said.

(India) Ltd. The festival will be inaugurated by eminent scientist Anil Kakodkar. As many as 58 events will be divided into 12 modules.

One of the attractions this year will be a keynote lecture series by speakers Jose Luis Gomez, a Spanish astronomer; 2012 Nobel Prize winner, Kazutaka Kurihara; and Aloknath De, chief technical officer of Samsung India.

The technical exhibition of MindSpark will focus on two streams — automation and defence. Key exhibits include INS Shivaji, Mazagon Docks, the bomb detection and disposal squad of the Maharashtra police and ScanTech Lasers.

The festival will also host an overseas education fair to provide career guidance. Other attractions include competitions, technical events, robotics, national-level quizzes, a technical championship, a 24-hour

hackathon

and makeathon.

Chakravyuh, an open-subject & open-age quiz, will also be part of the festival. MindSpark’19 will conclude with Pravin Kumar Mehta, scientist, Armament and Combat Engineering Systems at the valedictory.
