PUNE: Chief minister
Prithviraj Chavan assured a delegation of BJP and Shiv Sena in Nagpur on Tuesday that the vexed issue of regularisation of unauthorized constructions will be resolved during the ongoing winter session.
Shrirang Barne, group leader of Shiv Sena corporators in Pimpri Chinchwad, said, "The CM told us that a solution is likely in a week's time. He said the approval of the home ministry has been received.
Chavan also told us that the approval of the cabinet will be taken and a law will be approved in the current assembly session to regularise unauthorised constructions."
Chavan told the delegation that he has taken note of the issues raised by the residents of Pimpri Chinchwad, who first marched from Pune to Mumbai and have now camped in Nagpur. "Decisions have to be taken within the limits of the law. Decisions are not taken due to anyone's resignations," Chavan told the delegation, referring to the resignations of four MLAs (two from NCP) on Monday.
Barne, MLC Neelam Gorhe and MLAs Mahadev Babar, Chandrakant Mokate, Bhimrao Tapkir and Vijay Shivtare and others were part of the delegation that met Chavan. Earlier, thousands participated in a joint morcha of Shiv Sena, BJP, Republican Party of India(RPI) (Atahavale group) and the Nagari Hakka Kruti Samiti. The morcha began from Yashwant stadium and passed through Jhansi Rani chowk to reach Vidhan Bhavan.
Barne; Sadashiv Khade, president, Pimpri Chinchwad unit of BJP; Manav Kamble, president, Nagari Hakka Suraksha Samiti; corporators Sulabha Ubale, Nilesh Barne, Sampat Pawar, Sangeeta Bhondwe and Sheetal Shinde and others participated in the morcha.
