City Pride felicitates ‘Super Achievers’
Pune: City Pride School recently hosted an award ceremony to felicitate the school’s ‘super achievers’, who bagged laurels in academics and several competive exams in the academic year 2017-2018.
A total of 285 achievers were felicitated out of whiche 167 gold medals and 118 silver medals were given.
The directors, Ashwini Kulkarni and Deepali Sawai, were present at the occasion.

The students received medals for Unified Cyber Olympiad, International Mathematics Olympiad, among others along with the HSC and Std X CBSE Board exams.
Projects made by students for inter-school competitions such as ‘construction demolition waste management’ were also recognized.
The school’s former student Aditya Patil and a Std XII student Vinaya Nair, who received the Aditya Birla Scholarship and The Times Spark Scholarship respectively, were also felicitated.
The PCMC commissioner Shravan Hardikar was the event’s chief guest and Ashok Jain, the director of Institution for Promotion of Mathematics, was the guest of honour.

The programme was executed under the principal Maya Sawant’s guidance.
‘Zero hunger’ drive
MSB Educational Institute recently launched many initiatives to contribute towards the ‘zero hunger goal’ envisioned by the United Nations. The students created posters and wrote essays, and also contributed to the food bank, which will be distributed to local NGOs and orphanages every month.
Dastur girl wins Salsa fest
Saumya Kamble, a Std VIII student from Sardar Dastur Hormazdiar High School, recently won the first prize in belly dance and second prize in salsa solo (under-14) at the Afro Latin Dance Cup at the International Salsa Bachata Kizoneba Festival held recently at the Hotel Bella Vista Panchkulla in Chandigarh.
