Pune: Captain Mohammad Faiz remained unbeaten on an epic 229 as Vidarbha reached 442/7 on the second day of the Cooch Behar Trophy (Under-19) against Maharashtra in Ambi near here on Sunday. Faiz, who came in with the visitors in trouble at 50/4, has so far faced 515 balls and hit 19 fours and two sixes during his marathon knock.
He received solid support from Dharmendra Thakur who made 111 from 410 balls with 12 fours.
The duo added 274 runs for the sixth wicket.
