PUNE: Four unidentified people assaulted the watchman of Avnish Society in Kothrud and took away cash and valuables worth Rs 1.44 lakh after targeting three flats in the building on Saturday.
The watchman, Sunil Jadhav, who was attacked with a screw driver, sustained injuries on his hands and stomach.
Dinesh Joshi (33), owner of one of the flats that was targeted, has lodged a complaint, saying the locks of the flats were smashed by the intruders to gain entry.

Jewellery, cash and a laptop, totally worth Rs 1.44 lakh, were stolen from Joshi's flat.
Valuables stolen from the second flat, owned by Sagar Gadre, have not been assessed. No valuables were taken away from the flat owned by Rahul Khandekar.
