Baisakhi to be celebrated on April 12

The Punjabi Cultural Association will celebrate Bisakhi-di-raat on April 12 from 8 pm onwards at their office in Gultekdi, Salisbury Park. The celebrations will include an entertainment programme by local artists who will perform bhangra', songs and mimicry. Also, the Sikh Young Circle has organised a two-wheeler rally on April 12 that will start from Guru Nanak Darbar in Camp, at 12.30 pm and end at the gudurdwara' in the Dehu road area.Almost 1,500 youths are expected to participate in the rally.
Samyukta Karnataka Sangh matrimonial meet on April 19:
The Samyukta Karnataka Sangh has organised a matrimonial meet on April 19 at the Shree Raghvendra Swami Math on Laxmi road. Parents and guardians of brides and grooms, along with widows and divorcees, are requested to avail of this opportunity. Those interested should register before April 19. Shutter Bugs to conduct workshop From April 17:
The Shutter Bugs photography club has organised a workshop on Sinhagad Fort from April 17 to April 20. Information on basic, digital, nature and wildlife photography will be provided by qualified and trained professional photographers. Personality development, adventure camps for boys and girls:
The Lokseva Pratishthan's Netaji Subhashchandra Bose Boys' Military School will be organising personality development and adventure camps for students from April 13 to May 29. While the first camp will begin on April 13 and end on April 22, the second camp will be held from April 26 to May 5; the third from May 8 to May 17 and the last from May 20 to May 29.
The camps will be residential in nature and will include a variety of activities, like rifle shooting, archery, picnics, karate classes and public speaking for personality development. Activities will also include sports, like football, basket ball, kabaddi, hockey and cricket. Camp is open for boys and girls in the age group of 10 to 17 years. Reading camp:
Like ever year, Aksharsparsh, in association with Kishormitra, has organised a camp to instil and encourage the habit of reading among children in the age group of 8 to 15 years. Poona College of Pharmacy teacher honoured:
K R Mahadik, a teacher at the Poona College of Pharmacy, has been made a fellow of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA). He was honoured for his academic and research work in the field of pharmacy at a function held in New Delhi on March 14 and 15.
