Auto driver kills Dhayari tailor with bat
Pune: A 28-year-old tailor from Dhayari died after an autorickshaw driver allegedly assaulted him with a wooden bat late on Wednesday night in the area after the tailor asked him not to follow his distant woman relative. "We have identified the deceased tailor as Vishal Prashant Habib (28) of Dhayari," senior inspector Atul Bhos of Nanded City police said."After assaulting Habib with the wooden bat, the autorickshaw driver fled the scene. Our teams, along with the crime branch, are searching for him," Bhos said. Bhos said the autorickshaw driver was allegedly following a woman who is a distant relative of the tailor. Habib had called the autorickshaw driver and asked him to stop following her."However, an argument broke out between them on DSK Road, following which the autorickshaw driver assaulted Habib with the bat he was carrying. He then fled the spot. Passersby rushed Habib to a hospital on Sinhagad Road, where he was declared dead on arrival," Bhos said.
