Agency employee robbed of 4.86 lakh

Two unidentified persons allegedly looted Rs 4.86 lakh from an employee of an agency of consumer goods. The incident took place at Laxminagar in Dattawadi around 4pm on Wednesday.

PUNE: Two unidentified persons allegedly looted Rs 4.86 lakh from an employee of an agency of consumer goods. The incident took place at Laxminagar in Dattawadi around 4pm on Wednesday.
The employee, Kailas Shivram Jedhe (41), a resident of Sadashiv Peth, has lodged a complaint with the Dattawadi police station.
According to sub-inspector Sachin Kamble, Jedhe, a salesman with the agency that deals with fast moving consumer goods, looks after product supply and collection in Marketyard and Sahakarnagar area.

"On Wednesday, after collecting Rs 4.86 lakh from five traders, Jedhe was going back to his office on a motorcycle," Kamble said.
When Jedhe reached Laxminagar, two persons, who were following him on the motorcycle, snatched his bag containing the cash and fled away towards Parvati gaon, said Kamble.
Jedhe then informed his employer and lodged a complaint with the police. "We are investigating from all angles," Kamble said.
