AC repairman touches minor inappropriately

PUNE: The Chandannagar police on Sunday arrested a youth on charge of molesting a six-year-old girl at her residence the same day.

The youth, a private firm employee, repairs ACs. “The girl’s father contacted the private firm through an app for installing an AC.

The firm deputed the youth (19) for the task on Sunday afternoon,” senior inspector Sunil Jadhav said, adding, “The youth pushed the child and touched her inappropriately.

This was seen by her father, who approached the police immediately.” He was arrested and charged under the

IPC

and Pocso Act.
