9-yr-old killed, head, limbs chopped off

SATARA: The brutal murder of a nine-year-old boy, whose head, hands and legs were found severed from the torso, has shocked the villagers of Gondwale in Satara district, around 130 km from here.
The boy, Lakhan Honmane, went missing on March 25. His body was found in a farm in the village on Wednesday morning.
While the villagers strongly suspect it to be a case of human sacrifice, the police are inclined to believe otherwise based on their initial investigations.
Late on Thursday night, the police arrested one Ganesh Chavan (22) of Gondwale for his alleged involvement in Lakhan’s murder.
