4 rob Rs 14,000 from medical store, attack staffer in Pune

PUNE: Four men posing as customers allegedly attacked an employee of MediPlus store in Wadgaonsheri on the pretext of purchasing 50 litres of sanitizer and stole Rs 14,920 from the cash drawer on December 10.

Sub-inspector Arvind Kumre said, “A man visited the store at night and asked for a sanitizer bottle. After the employee Ramesh Wani offered him the bottle, he said his manager wanted to purchase 50 litres of santizer and requested a meeting. Wani was the only employee on duty and stepped out to meet the person posing as manager and another person. The duo engaged Wani in a conversation and attacked him. Two other men barged into the store and robbed Rs14,920.
