34th Dipex exhibition in Pune to showcase innovative engineering projects
Pune: Over 400 projects involving 200 engineering students from Maharashtra and Goa will provide solutions to societal problems and will be on display at Dipex 2025.The event will be held from April 3 to 6 at the College of Engineering, Pune (CoEP) Technology University grounds. It will feature 11 themes, including agricultural technology, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.The exhibition has been organised jointly by CoEP Tech University, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and state govt.Dipex was initiated in 1986 with the aim to make projects of final-year diploma engineering students socially relevant, benefiting various societal sectors and improving rural life through technology. Dipex, named after Bharat Ratna Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, has been renamed Padma Vibhushan Late Ratan Tata Exhibition, organisers announced at a news conference on Tuesday.Dipex 2025 welcome committee chairman Prakash Dhoka said, "Dipex 2025 will include 324 projects from 191 diploma and engineering colleges across 38 districts in Maharashtra and Goa, as well as the top 100 projects from ITIs in Maharashtra. Over 1 lakh people, including students, entrepreneurs, small business owners, educational institutions and incubation centres are expected to visit the project exhibition."Nine seminars will be organised for participants at Dipex 2025, featuring successful entrepreneurs and personalities like Padma Shri Milind Kamble, entrepreneur Sudhir Mutalik, former DRDO scientist Kashinath Deodhar, professor Vijay Navale and Ramanand Nand.Sankalp Phaldesai, convener of Dipex 2025, said a total of 2003 projects from Maharashtra and Goa participated in this year's 34th Dipex.
