Pune rural police have arrested three people for their alleged involvement in 11 dacoites at jewellery shops across the state.

PUNE: Pune rural police have arrested three people — booked previously under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) by Ahmednagar police — for their alleged involvement in 11 dacoites at jewellery shops across the state. Another member of the gang surrendered before Osmanabad police on August 17.
A team led by inspector Bhausaheb Andhalkar arrested the three members of the 15-member gang at Osmanabad.

The arrested were identified as Nagesh Bhosale, Garva Bhosale and Godbolya Kale. Another member Jitendra Bhosale later surrendered before Osmanabad police.
Police said one member, Devidas Bhosale, was killed in an encounter. Police have also recovered gold ornaments worth Rs five lakh which the gang robbed from Wagholi and Jejuri. According to the police, the kingpin Deepak Kale was absconding.
