PUNE: A team of the
Food and Drug Administration
(
FDA
) seized 243 illegal domestic cylinders in
Valhekarwadi
in
Pimpri-Chinchwad
on Wednesday.
Gas was being refilled from big cylinders to small cylinders. The workers used a small needle in the process. It is the biggest seizure in the district.

of the Chava Sanghatna, along with Amol Veer, Kiran Rajput, Samir Veer, Akash Landge and Hani Thoradt had made a complaint to the FDA. Chava Sanghatna A tin shed is located on the
Pavana river at Valhekarwadi.
A team led by Dinesh Taware, Ganesh Somwanshi, Prashant Owhal, Sunil Kastewad, Santosh Limkar, Babasaheb Thombre, Ganpat Raje and Shriram Gaikwad checked the illegal cylinders and seized the cylinders. There was leakage in cylinders.
The fire brigade department led by Vikas Naik, Vishal Banekar, Vitthal Sapkal and Sanjay Mahadik closed the cylinders.
A complaint was lodged late at night at Chinchwad police station. If any cylinder had exploded, a major fire would have occured in Valhekarwadi.
The domestic cylinders included Bharat Commercial (21), Bharat gas (21),
Indane
gas (2), Hindustan Petroleum gas (5), Mini Bharat company (1), private companies (71), and small gas cylinders of private companies (122).
