Senior police inspector M N Chavan, in-charge of the Chatushrungi police station, produced Deshpande and Chaudhari before judicial magistrate first class G G Itkalkar for seeking 14 days police custody remand.
Assistant public prosecutor A V Ausekar told the court that the custodial interrogation of the suspects was required for tracing the absconding suspects, for recovering the weapons and vehicles used in the crime.
Ausekar prayed to give sufficient time to the police for finding how and where the suspects had entered into a criminal conspiracy and for recovering the blood money (supari) which was received by them for committing the murder.
