Puducherry govt announces Rs 750 Pongal gift for all ration cardholders
PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry govt will disburse Rs 750 as a Pongal gift to all ration cardholders in the Union territory.
He said the money would be directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries instead of being disbursed through the fair price shops. He later launched an online service to get water connections to households.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the govt was committed to filling vacant positions in all govt departments.
He assured that 300 nursing vacancies in the govt hospitals and centres would be filled soon.
