Music festival at Bandstand tomorrow
Puducherry: Guitarist and vocalist Ishit Shau will team up with singer-songwriter Sanjna Banik at the next edition of live music event, SecSat from 7pm onwards on July 13 at the renovated heritage Bandstand, near Nehru statue in Gandhi Thidal.
Held on the eve of the French National Day, the musical extravaganza will include an eclectic mix of popular French songs.

Ishit, the lead musician of H2O, a rock band from Puducherry, is known for the classic rock and retro music.
He will perform the 1960s French pop music including Johnny Hallyday’s ‘Noir est Noir’ and Jacques Dutronc's ‘Mini Mini Mini’ besides a few traditional folksongs like ‘Colchique dans les Pres’ and a few numbers from Joe Dassin.
Sanjna, a songwriter, has performed at the prestigious Mother’s Day 'Oncohappy' festival in Bengaluru, at the Pondy Litfest and at the Auroville Unity Pavillion. She will render Celine Dion's ‘Pour que Tu M'aime Encore’ and Carla Bruni's ‘Quelqu'un M'a Dit’ and a few numbers from Enrico Macias.
A band named Snooze will present upbeat funk and rock music to get the crowd on its feet. The band will perform all the crowd's favourite hits from legends like Deep Purple, GNR, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Steppenwolf, Paramore, Jet and others.
The band comprises drummer Ishaan Ramdas, bassist Dayal Johan, rhythm guitarist Ashish Joel, lead guitarist Chama Tlau and two lead singers Malvika and Tumken. The band played at this year’s Freedom Jam in January at Puducherry.
