Jipmer to hold counselling for PG, post-basic diploma in nursing on Oct 20, 21

PUDUCHERRY: Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (Jipmer) will hold the first round of online

counselling

for admission into MSc

nursing

and

post-basic diploma

in nursing courses for the academic year 2020-21 from 10am on October 20 and to 5pm on October 21.

All eligible candidates must login with their credentials and register themselves for the first round of counselling. They must select their preferences, upload their certificates and submit their counselling application forms online.

The institute will declare the mock counselling result for post-basic diploma course on or before October 26 and for MSc nursing course on or before October 27. Candidates can lock their final preferences for the first round of counselling for post-basic diploma course from 10am on October 27 to 5pm on October 28 and for MSc nursing course from 10am on October 28 to 5pm on October 29.

The institute will declare the final allotment of seats for post-basic diploma course on or before November 2 and for MSc nursing course on or before November 4. Candidates for post-basic diploma course must confirm their allotment, pay the admission fees/security deposit and download the allotment letter from 10am on November 3 to 5pm on November 5.

Candidates for MSc nursing course must confirm their allotment, pay the admission fees/security deposit and download the allotment letter from 10am on November 5 to 5pm on November 6.

Candidates for both courses must report to Jipmer with allotment letter and original documents for admission on or before November 9.

Jipmer offers 25 seats in the two-year MSc nursing course. There are five specializations - Child health nursing, Community health nursing, Medical-surgical nursing, Mental health nursing and Obstetrics & gynaecology nursing with five seats each.

The institute offers 50 seats in five disciplines in one-year post-basic diploma in nursing. The five disciplines are Critical care nursing, Cardio-thoracic nursing, Operation room nursing, Oncology nursing and Neonatal nursing.
