Zero LPG stock won’t be tolerated: Buxar DM
District officials in Buxar reviewed crisis management, focusing on LPG cylinder availability and preventing black marketing. Magistrate Sahila ordered inspections of gas agencies to ensure sufficient stock and directed officials to investigate hoarding complaints. Police will compile a database of returning migrant workers. Agencies must complete e-KYC and address delivery discrepancies.
Buxar: District magistrate Sahila on Tuesday chaired a meeting of senior district officials, including SP Shubham Arya, on Tuesday at the collectorate to review crisis management preparedness.The DM directed SDOs Avinash Kumar (Buxar) and Rakesh Kumar (Dumraon) to inspect gas agencies and submit a detailed report on stock availability. A Dumraon-based gas agency was asked to explain reasons for maintaining zero stock.

All BDOs, COs and SHOs were instructed to verify any complaints of black marketing or hoarding of LPG cylinders and take action as per law.The district agriculture officer was asked to probe fertilizer black marketing through block-level officers and submit an updated report. The SP directed SHOs to prepare a database of migrant labourers returning to Buxar with the help of chowkidars.The DM stressed that no gas agency should maintain zero stock. Agencies facing high booking demand must coordinate to ensure adequate supply. All agencies were asked to complete e-KYC of consumers and set up dedicated counters to avoid inconvenience. They were also warned to investigate cases where consumers receive delivery messages without actual receipt of cylinders, failing which legal action will be initiated.
