Patna: A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out, they say. To celebrate this bond and affection, Patnaites bloomed the air with the vibes of colourful friendship on Saturday to celebrate International Friendship Day.
“This is the purest kind of relationship that one share without judging the opposite one on the basis of caste, colour or the family background.
Every friend is a shining star. This year, me and my friends spent a beautiful evening at Patna’s Marine Drive,” said Vageesha Srivastava of Boring Road locality.
Aryan Kumar, a student, said: “I prepared cakes and chocolates for my friends. We watched the web series and celebrated this day in our comfort zone.” Nimisha Ranjan, a student of Patna Women’s College, jokingly said: “Morning’s first call to the call before sleep describes our friendship.”
She added: “No matter how much we fight and tease each other, the day without thinking about her is incomplete. We celebrate friendship day every day. Today, we planned to visit Trampoline Park.”
Divya Singh, who runs a cosmetics shop at Boring Road, said: “It seldom happens that people don’t buy friendship bands this day. This practice has been going on for years and continued this year, too. Especially kids of 7-9 years are more excited than the youngsters. Some bought more than 20 friendship bands.”
