CHHAPRA: A youth was lynched at Manjhi block in Saran district and two others have been seriously injured following an altercation with the staff at a poultry farm owned by mukhiya Arti Devi’s husband at Narwanpur village in Manjhi block in Saran district on Thursday night.
Police have lodged an FIR after the incident and four youths have been made named accused in the case. One of named accused—Jatul Yadav—of the same village has been arrested.
Tension prevailed since Thursday evening in the village under under the Manjhi police station area, after the youth, Amritesh (30), died at Chhapra sadar hospital and two others have been referred to PMCH in a critical condition. They have been identified as Rahul Kumar Singh (20) and Alok Kumar Singh (25).
Yadav alleged that four youths came to his poultry farm and tried to take away chicken forcibly. When his staff objected, the youths fired at them. Agitated with this action, the staff thrashed them.
However, parents and supporters of the youths claimed that they had gone to irrigate the fields. A police team led by Chhapra SDPO Muneshwar Prasad Singh from nearby police stations are camping there.
