Youth held for eve-teasing

PATNA: Police on Thursday arrested a youth, Shashi Bhushan Kumar, a sand dealer, on the charge of passing lewd comments at a young girl in Sandalpur locality under Bahadurpur police station.
Police said the girl had come to purchase fruits at a stall on Wednesday evening at Sandalpur locality when Shashi Bhushan, a resident of the same locality, passed lewd comments at her.
Police said that Shashi Bhushan continued with his activities. This infuriated the girl, who had a heated exchange with Shashi Bhushan. “The girl returned to her home and narrated the incident to her father,” a police officer said, adding that her father lodged an FIR against Shashi Bhushan on Wednesday late evening.
SDPO, Patna City, Sushil Kumar said, “The victim along with her family members identified the accused, who was arrested on Thursday and forwarded to jail.”
