Youth Cong begins process for organisational polls in Bihar
Patna: The Bihar Youth Congress has begun preparations for its organisational elections with aspirants for various posts set to file their nominations online over a 10-day period starting June 18. The membership drive will commence thereafter.
State Congress president Rajesh Ram and state Youth Congress president Shiv Prakash Garib Das told reporters on Tuesday that details regarding the election process and membership campaign would be available on the Youth Congress website.
They appealed to young people across the state to join the Youth Congress and contribute their ideas and energy to the organisation.
The two said the objective of the exercise is to strengthen and expand the Youth Congress network up to the district, block, panchayat and assembly constituency levels.
To facilitate a smooth election process, special election teams have been constituted to address queries and assist those involved in the membership drive.
They also said orientation programmes and training sessions would be organised for members aspiring to contest for various organisational posts, including senior positions.
According to the party functionaries, the initiative is aimed at broadening youth participation in the organisation and strengthening its grassroots presence across Bihar.
