a ‘plastic free’ zone at the closing ceremony of the National Postal Week here on Sunday.

Addressing the event, chief postmaster general (Bihar) Adnan Ahmed said, electronic scooters will be used for the distribution of letters and parcels in the coming days in order to protect the environment.

“Letters will be delivered through the postman mobile app so that people will get the information about the delivery of their letters,” Ahmed said, adding that a parcel van will also be introduced between Patna and Ranchi.

‘Postal Service Award’ was given to the employees who had done excellent work throughout the year.
