Patna: A woman was brutally stabbed to death in the Baisi police station area of Purnia. Her body was found in a cornfield near Bhaurapul on NH 31, with multiple knife wounds, on Sunday.
The victim was identified as Anula Devi (35), wife of Dukhan Sharma, a resident of Ward-14 in Malharia panchayat. She went to her field to water the crops and did not return.

Police took the body for post-mortem at GMCH Purnia. The investigation is going on, with officials questioning locals and gathering evidence.
"The case appears to be a stabbing, and we'll leave no stone unturned to catch the perpetrator," said Baisi SHO Amrendra Kumar Gupta.
