Sanjay Kumar Singh, father of the accused, told mediapersons at the hospital on Thursday evening, “My son is addicted to alcohol. He often quarrels with his wife, his in-laws and even with us. On Wednesday too, he came home drunk. Despite repeated warnings, he doesn’t mend his ways. On Thursday evening, he shot at his wife in an inebriated state.”Meanwhile, a police team led by Dhangai SHO Vishwajeet Kumar rushed to the spot and conducted raids to nab the accused. “Prima facie, domestic strife appears to be the reason behind the incident.
