Woman kills 3-year-oldnephew in Muzaffarpur

Patna: In a tragic incident, a woman allegedly killed her three-year-old nephew and filled his mouth with sand stones and soil before burying him in the house in Muzaffarpur district. The incident took place on Sunday night in Balthi Rasulpur under Bochaha police station area in the district. The accused, Vibha Devi, was arrested.The deceased was identified as Nitik Kumar, son of Vinay Kumar. When Vinay reached home, he could not find his son and saw his sister-in-law hiding something in her room. He got suspicious and dug out the soil. “By the time the child was taken out, he had died,” said SHO Arvind Prasad.Man shot over land dispute: A 40-year-old man was shot dead and several others were injured in an exchange of fire between two rival groups over a land dispute in Bihta area of Patna late Sunday evening. The deceased has been identified as Harendra Verma of Sikandarpur under Bihta police station area.The relatives of the victim have accused Mukesh Singh and his men of killing Harendra. The police recovered several empty bullets from the spot. On Monday morning, the relatives of the victim blocked the road in protest against the murder. They demanded compensation to the family of the deceased Harendra.
