Woman killed by husband in Nalanda
Biharsharif: A 31-year-old woman was bludgeoned to death by her husband following an altercation over a minor issue at Beldariya village under the Ben police station area in Nalanda district on Sunday night. The deceased was identified as Sonamanti Devi, wife of Lalu Chauhan.
On receiving information, police rushed to the spot, collected evidence with the assistance of a forensic science laboratory (FSL) team, and sent the body to Bihar Sharif Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
Ben SHO Raviraj Singh said a case has been registered under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. “The accused has been arrested and further investigation is underway,” he added.
