Woman found dead on Madhepura railway platform

Madhepura: A woman passenger identified as Kajal (25) was found dead on platform no. 2 of Madhepura railway station on Tuesday morning.

Kajal, daughter of Md Murshid, a resident of Jittapur village under Murliganj police station area in Madhepura district, along with her two kids, was waiting to board a train.


The woman’s death was noticed when her kids started crying, while she was lying on the platform.

On getting information, the railway police identified the body with help of her distant relative Sakila Khatoon. She said Kajal was relinquished by her husband and she was living separately along with the kids since past one year.

Sub-inspector Dilip Kumar said scar mark was found on the neck of the woman.
