Will come out with ‘hydrogen bomb’ on 'vote theft' soon, says Rahul as yatra comes to a close
Patna: Leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Monday declared his party would soon come out with a "hydrogen bomb" about the "vote theft" in the country even as the fortnight-long ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra' led by him came to a close with a symbolic march on the streets of Patna. Displaying their unity, all important leaders of opposition INDIA bloc were present at the concluding event.
Addressing the event in the sweltering heat, Rahul launched a fierce attack on BJP over "vote theft" in Maharashtra and then highlighted the similar issue that he claimed to have noticed in Mahadevapura assembly segment under Bengaluru Central Lok Sabha seat. The very next moment, he declared to drop the "hydrogen bomb" soon, stating such would be its impact that "PM Narendra Modi won't be able to show his face before the country".

"I showed 'atom bomb' to expose vote theft in Mahadevapura but now I am coming out soon with a more powerful hydrogen bomb to make the whole country aware about the truth of vote theft," Rahul told the gathering here asking BJP to be prepared to face its impact. "After the hydrogen bomb, Modiji will not be able to face the public," he said. Describing Bihar as the land of "revolution", the Congress MP hoped the state would not allow the "vote thefts" in the coming assembly elections stating how the message of their campaign had now spread across the country.
Dressed in his trademark white T-shirt and same colour cap, which were usually noticed all through his statewide yatra that passed through 25 districts of the state's total 38, Rahul alleged the forces which slayed Mahatma Gandhi were now out to demolish Babasaheb's Constitution. "We won't allow it to happen. That is the reason we took out this yatra in Bihar and it has got tremendous response," he added.
Attacking the ruling party for the alleged vote manipulations, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said BJP was trying to win elections by "vote thefts" in Bihar. He asserted that the "double-engine" govt in Bihar would be voted out soon, hitting out at CM Nitish Kumar for going back in the company of BJP-RSS. "But he is not unaware of the fact that the BJP-RSS combine is going to dump him soon," Kharge said.
Kharge pointed out how the Rahul-led Bharat Jodo Yatra, Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra and this one in Bihar got tremendous support from the masses, telling the people to understand the importance of voting. "Agar vote ka adhikar nahin hota toh aapko koi nahin puchhta," he said.
Leader of opposition in the Bihar assembly Tejashwi Yadav alleged BJP was trying to "destroy democracy in the land of democracy" and wondered how the BJP leaders had been seeking votes from Bihar's people while they set up factories in Gujarat.
Patna witnessed a historic political spectacle as the final day of the 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' began with scores of senior INDIA bloc leaders marking their presence in the march and displaying their unity. The march started with offering of floral tributes at the Gandhi statue in Gandhi Maidan and ended with floral tributes to Babasahab Ambedkar.
