PATNA: Vigyan Jyot (flames of science), which was kicked off from New Delhi on December 16, is reaching here on Thursday. It would be given a warm welcome at A N College at 9.30am on Thursday morning, from where it would later proceed to Gaya en route to Ranchi, Dhanbad, Kolkata and Bhubaneswar, said the college principal, Haridwar Singh.
According to him, the Jyot is the symbol of Science Congress which is being held at Bhubaneswar from January 3.

Manmohan Singh will inaugurate this prestigious meet. A large number of academics, renowned scholars, scientists and researchers both from the country and abroad are likely to participate in this Science Congress, he said.
A senior teacher of A N College and coordinator of the function here, Satya Prakash, said it would be a proud moment for all to receive the Jyot on the college campus. “The Jyot is a symbol of scientific temperament of the country, which is committed to achieve its goal by 2020 as propounded by former President A P J
