Vigilance bureaubooks ex-DAO

PATNA: The state vigilance investigation bureau on Monday submitted charge sheet against former district agriculture officer (DAO), Jehanabad, Ram Gopal Pandey, who was arrested by vigilance sleuths on August 25 this year for taking bribe from a contractor for making payment for construction of Kisan Bhawan in Jehanabad.
In its charge sheet, the bureau submitted that he was caught red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 15,000 from contractor Chandan Kumar.The vigilance sleuths had laid a trap to arrest Pandey following a complaint by Kumar.
