After Singh’s arrest, a search team was formed under the leadership of vigilance DSP Vinod Kumar Pandey to conduct a search at his residence in Patna. The search resulted in the recovery of approximately Rs15 lakh in cash and several investment documents.
The investigation revealed that Singh allegedly demanded a bribe from the institutes for releasing funds for office expenses and machine equipment. The VIB registered a case against Singh and will produce him before the special vigilance court in Patna for further legal action.
Meanwhile, after the arrest, Singh claimed that large-scale corruption is going on in Niyojan Bhavan.
He alleged that the officials inflated the tender of Rs80 crore to Rs500 crore.
“When I joined here in June 2025, the office employees felt that I was the one exposing them. Therefore, they, under a conspiracy, recorded my every statement, and Omprakash framed me today. I had also lodged complaints with the CMO, PMO and VIB against their corruption. The case of altering tender is the biggest corruption in Niyojan Bhavan till date,” he alleged.
